Hiking is one of the types of sports tourism. As in any hike, tourists spend the night in a tent camp. Cooking takes place on a fire. Hiking trails may vary in length.

Hiking for one or two days is available to anyone. Such trips are a great opportunity to get to know nature better, see many beautiful places and test yourself in overcoming various obstacles.

For example, a hike to the Kolchimsky stone for 3 days.

Hiking to the mountain Pomyanenny stone is an unforgettable trip for the whole family. Hiking is best done in late spring. Hike to the Memorial Stone does not require special training of participants. From the top of the stone, beautiful views of the Ural peaks open up. You can enjoy an unforgettable sunset in the mountains, as well as meet the dawn. Experienced staff of our company will help make your trip as comfortable as possible.

Route characteristics.

Hiking to Mount Pomyanenny stone begins near the village of Volynka, Krasnovishersky district.

The route in numbers looks like this: by bus – 750 km, trekking – 10 km

Route attractions.

From the top of the mountain, wonderful views of the mountain peaks open up: Poljud, Tulymsky stone, the valley of the Vishera river.

Another interesting object – the unique Usva stone pillars on the Usva River, stretching for several kilometers and reaching a height of 120 meters, are rightfully considered one of the favorite and attractive travel destinations.

The name of the river Usva comes from the Komi-Permyak words “usny” – to fall and “va” – water, that is, falling water. This river is a popular tourist route for water rafting. From the water you can see more interesting things: the stones Hanging, Panoramic, the stone Big and Small Log, Strelny, Omutny, Bastions, caves. The fast-flowing river does not freeze completely even in winter, the noise from the rapids accompanied us all the way. It is interesting that shots from the film “The Geographer Drank His Globe Away” were filmed here near the Pillars, where the guys were rafting down the river; good movie, great location.

Usva pillars are located near the Stone Town in the Gremyachinsky district. You can get to them from Perm both by private car and by public transport.

If you decide to go by car, the road will take you about three hours (in poor visibility, a one-way trip can take about four hours). First you need to get to the city of Chusovoy, and then to the village of Usva.

After the road bridge there will be a small grocery store and a toilet. We advise you to look there before the trip, because there will be no more of these delights of civilization.

After the store, you will need to drive just a few hundred meters to the nearest gate to the village and drive to a beautiful railway bridge with arches. There is no organized parking here. But we did not have any problems with where to leave the car.

Road by bus

Several buses run from Perm to Usva. You can get on route number 795. Its final stop is Gubakha, but it passes through Usva. You can leave by bus number 644. It goes to Aleksandrovsk, but stops in Usva. Bus number 771 (Perm – Kizel) also runs to Usva. You can get back to Perm on the same routes. It is better to check the current schedule just before the trip.

The road to Usva will take you about three and a half hours. Buses stop at the store we talked about above. From the stop you will need to walk to the railway bridge.

There is only one way for both motorists and public transport passengers – a footpath along the Usva River. You will need to walk four kilometers along it, and then another kilometer of ascent to the top.

Let’s hit the road. We pass through the bridge arch, pass the tourist bases and enter the well-trodden path that runs along the slope along the bank of Usva.

There is only one path here. It has no forks and turns, so don’t be afraid to get lost. The road is well trodden and comfortable to walk on. Along the entire route, every kilometer there are signs showing how far you have already covered.

An hour and a half later we are at the foot of the Usva pillars. There are several gazebos for relaxation and picnics and a wooden observation deck. Next to it is an information stand and a map of the area.

We were left with the fifth, most difficult kilometer – the ascent to the top. There is no tourism infrastructure in this area at all. The slope is very steep, while there is nothing to hold on to, and you have to arm yourself with a stick or cling to tree branches. You can still go up in winter and summer (because it’s also impossible to go down, in winter tourists just drive down the path, as if from an ice slide), but in the off-season the path turns into a dirty slippery mess, and the climb becomes even more difficult.

The rise with constant respite took us about 15 minutes. And here we are at the top of the Usva Pillars. Around – trees, Usva, sky, rocks and, if you’re lucky – shaggy little inhabitants of the forest.

Warning signs have been installed at the main viewing points in front of the cliffs. Also in several places there are signs warning of a possible rockfall.

Contracts have been concluded and the design of the complex arrangement of popular facilities is underway. On the territory of the Usva Pillars, an ascent to the summit will be arranged, including “gates to the eco-trail”, wooden decks, bridges, stairs for safe and convenient ascent, gazebos and viewing platforms at the top. Entrance zones will also appear here, the adjacent road will be filled with rubble.
