Portions of the trail in Philadelphia, specifically the Kelly Drive section and Schuylkill Banks will be plowed by the City after a snowfall. However, care should still be taken using it as it may still be slippery, especially the ramp and steps that access the Schuylkill Banks section below the Art Museum.
Montgomery County does not plow ANY of it’s trail system in order to provide an opportunity for cross-country skiers to use their multi-use trail systems. The section around Port Indian is sometime cleared by the housing association that uses this portion of the trail for access.
Berks and Schuylkill County sections are generally not plowed following snow as most of this is crushed stone surface.
