Ribbon Cut on Manayunk Bridge Trail

Copy of IMG_2973The Manayunk Bridge Trail opened on Friday, October 30 at a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by hundreds of enthusiastic trail-users. This long awaited re-purposing of a SEPTA bridge (originally built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1902)  is a fantastic achievement and testament to a wonderful collaboration among trail advocates and many agencies, jurisdictions and non-profits. The bridge connects to the Schuylkill River Trail via a short on road route. Learn more about the bridge and the trails it connects to.
