A cyclist celebrating the official Pennsylvania alignment of the September 11th National Memorial Trail rode along the Schuylkill River Trail on September 17, on his way from Western PA to New York City.
The proposed 1,300-mile September 11th National Memorial Trail will link three September 11th sites in New York City, Washington D.C. and Shanksville, PA. It will follow nearly 40 miles of the Schuylkill River Trail between Reading and Pottsville.
Cyclist Eric Brenner led a ride from the Great Allegheny Passage in Berlin, PA on September 10 and joined commemorative events on September 11 at the Flight 93 National Memorial. The ride concluded at the National September 11 Memorial in New York City on September 21. Read more
